A baby girl who was abandoned by her parents and currently resides in the Peace Village. She has a cleft palate and cleft lip that makes it difficult to feed her and makes it difficult for her to speak.

LE VAN O.

A 14-year-old boy who was born without eyes because his parents were directly exposed to Agent Orange.
DIEP
​
​This young man had a heart defect that CAN be the result of his father walking through the contaminated fields of Agent Orange. He needed a heart transplant; however, was unable to have it funded. He died earlier this year.
HONG TU
​
5 months old, with Encephalocele — a rare neural tube defect characterized by sac-like protrusions of the brain and the membranes that cover it through openings in the skull.​

TRA MY​
​
Aged 9, with hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid accumulates in the brain, enlarging the head and causing brain damage.

TRAN HUYNH THURONG SINH

​Aged 13, with Fraser Syndrome — a rare genetic disorder characterized (as in Tran’s case) with partial webbing of the fingers and/or toes, kidney abnormalities, genital malformations and complete fusion of the eyelids.
